JOB TITLE: Manager, Regional Sales Manager – SHOP SH
1. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manage and develop an area business that sells SHOP products.
Create customer resource and public and government relations in east china industry.
Responsible for overall revenue/profit and growth for the region.
2. PRIMARY FUNCTION/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Assess business conditions by geography, distributor, and end customer opportunity, and develop an overall business plan to exceed fiscal goals.
b. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase profits within your region and distributor community; manage within defined budget.
c. Provide direction, coaching, and feedback to direct report.
d. Meet or speak with top tier distributors at minimum once a quarter to develop an understanding of their business strategies. Determine Fluke opportunities and address concerns. Coordinate senior level executive visits once a year.
e. Conduct a regional meeting once per quarter to discuss and review business opportunities and challenges. Provide ongoing training during these meetings.
f. Problem solve ongoing field related issues. Serve as a vehicle to address issues through Corporate.
g. Participate in defining and refining national plans, programs, and opportunities to grow the business.
h. Demonstrate professionalism and serve as role model for team members, distributors, and end customers.
i. Perform other related duties as assigned.
3. JOB COMPLEXITY:
Work is performed with a minimum of direction and supervision; has significant latitude in determining work objectives and goals.
Represents Corporation to customers as well as to principles and senior management of resellers or manufacturing representatives with no supervision on significant matters requiring commitments on business management matters and expense allocations.
Operate in new and varied work situations with a high degree of complexity requiring ingenuity and creativity.
Erroneous decisions and/or failure to get results affects both short- and long-range corporate goals with a severe impact on profitability and exposes the Corporation to legal action or reputational damage in the marketplace.
4. SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to evaluate resellers’ business contribution capacity, as well as manage an efficient sales management organization.
Ability to tactfully, yet forcefully, deal with independent business people.
Proven ability to manage and motivate team members to exceed goals.
Outstanding coaching, communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
5. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in China industry and ten or more years of experience in sales and/or marketing management.
Distribution and field experience preferred.
